Location. Constructed during the 19th century, the Quinta Las Acacias hotel was transformed from a private residence located in one of Guanajuato, Mexico's oldest and finest neighborhoods, into the luxury property that stands today. Sophisticated European ambience harmonizes with Mexican charm in this setting located near the town's museum and historic buildings.
Hotel Features. Days dawn to the welcoming aromas of complimentary cooked to order breakfasts. The hotel's small dining venue, El Comedor, serves breakfast, lunch and dinner on all days except Sundays, when the restaurant prepares breakfast, only. The bar serves a full range of cocktails and offers a selection of tequilas. In the hotel's lobby area, a computer with Internet access is available for guests' use. A solar heated pool and garden terrace provide tranquil ambience, while a refined terrace offers a pastoral niche for evening cocktails. Additional hotel amenities include an on site library, airport transportation and complimentary parking.
Guestrooms. This hotel features nine guestrooms, distinguished by handcrafted furnishings, hardwood or marble tile floors, and Oriental rugs. Rooms include views of the Florencio Antillon Park or the mountains, and feature regional Mexican and French influenced decor. Room amenities include bathrobes, slippers, satellite television and in room safes.
Expert Tip. Across the street from the hotel is the Florencio Antillon Park and the La Olla Dam, which was built in the mid 1700s. The area is popular for walks or for boating on the lake, and draws a colorful mix of local families, wandering musicians and vendors.
